Terms & Disclaimer

These terms cover how you may use this website and how services are typically delivered. This page is written in plain language for clarity and does not replace legal advice.

1) Website use

  • You may browse, read, and share links to pages on usescoop.com for personal or business evaluation.
  • You may not copy, scrape, or republish site content (including text, visuals, or layout) without written permission, except where allowed by law (e.g., fair use).
  • You agree not to attempt to disrupt the website, probe security, or use automated tools that create unreasonable traffic.

2) Service engagements

Service work (messaging, copywriting, strategy, audits, etc.) is provided under a separate written scope (proposal, statement of work, or email agreement). If there’s a conflict between those documents and this page, the signed scope controls.

  • Deliverables, timelines, and pricing are defined per project.
  • Revisions are included as outlined in the scope.
  • Work begins after written approval and initial payment (if applicable).

3) No guarantees

Marketing and copy outcomes depend on many factors outside of Scoop’s control (offer, pricing, market, seasonality, targeting, design, sales follow-up, and more). For that reason, we do not promise or guarantee specific results such as rankings, leads, or revenue.

We do commit to a clear process, professional communication, and deliverables that match the agreed scope.

4) Informational disclaimer

Content on this site is provided for general informational purposes and should not be interpreted as legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. If you need advice for your situation, consult a qualified professional.

5) Intellectual property

Unless your project scope says otherwise:

  • After full payment, you own the final, delivered copy and strategy documents created specifically for your project.
  • Scoop retains rights to underlying methods, templates, and know-how used to create the work.
  • Drafts and unused concepts are not considered final deliverables.

6) Portfolio use

We will not share confidential information. If we’d like to reference your project publicly (even anonymously), we’ll request permission first. You can always say no.

7) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Scoop is not liable for indirect or consequential damages (such as lost profits) related to the use of this website or service work. Any liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

8) Third-party links

This site may link to third-party websites or tools. Scoop does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

9) Governing law

These terms are intended to be interpreted under the laws applicable in Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This is a general statement and may vary depending on your service agreement.
